About the Role
Directs and matures the operations of our security services. Reporting to the SVP of Security Services, this key role is a force multiplier to the leadership team, helping translate the vision into action for the staff and organization. They will collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, to solve problems, implement new reporting solutions, create operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards.
In addition, you will be responsible for tracking progress against strategic objectives, making sure meetings are effective and productive and actions are followed up on. You will lead a broad range of activities including strategic, analytic, and communications initiatives to help ensure leadership objectives are met.
As a Director, Business Operations you will:
Implement the vision and mission set by executive leadership into the highest quality, scalable and consistent customer experience
Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership and departmental heads with a focus on operational efficiency and quality at scale
Work with Customer Success, R&D, Finance, HR, and Sales Operations to ensure the operations center has the proper tools and process to ensure the proper delivery of security services
Serve as a liaison with IT and Business Applications, collecting requirements, providing feedback and tracking solutions delivery to ensure Security Services has technology solutions while minimizing the impact to operations
Partner with Legal, GRC and Information Security to ensure security services teams are following best practices in accordance with industry standards, regulations and company policy
Perform timely management duties for a team of cross functional analysts, such as annual performance reviews, mentorship, role development, hiring, and promotions.
Provide leadership with insightful data-driven strategic recommendations. Communicate findings from initiatives to management and the broader organization.
Provide recommendations on how to grow and organize the teams as the company scales
Collaborate with Recruiting, HR, Finance, and Training to facilitate the successful personnel allocation, promotion, recruitment and onboarding of new team members globally
Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation
Review financial information in partnership with senior leadership and finance, adjust operational budgets to promote profitability and track efficiency targets for the division
Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications
Establish and maintain an operational rhythm for the organization, including leading operational and portfolio review meetings and strategy sessions. Build meeting agendas, capture key insights and action items, and track and follow-up on action items to closure.
Skills, competencies and experience that you will need to be successful:
7+ years in a business or executive management role including consulting experience with a focus on operations management, OR
8+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, etc.) OR 10+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experence without a bachelor’s degree.
Proven experience organizing and coordinating with multiple teams and departments to include Engineering, Product, Customer Success, Finance, Program Management or HR.
Proven ability to take complex technical information and translate it into clear communications (presentations/memos) for a variety of audiences, e.g. senior management, employees, etc.
Ability to lead within a technology-focused and driven SecOps team, to balance and prioritize across a fast-paced, growth-oriented global environment and to manage the team’s coverage and growth.
Previous experience with developing data-driven metrics programs and visualization solutions
Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines
Demonstrated planning and leading strategic initiatives, organization and planning projects applied in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
